The Kejia Mould Base New Materials Laboratory was established in 2025 and is equipped with the capabilities to conduct mechanical property testing, metallographic examination and microstructure analysis, as well as instrument-based chemical composition analysis without sample dissolution pretreatment for metallic materials and their products. Relying on Kejia (Changxing) Mould Base Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and in collaboration with Wuhan University of Technology, it has built research platforms for new materials and processes development, thermal processing simulation, etc., and serves as a talent joint training base of Wuhan University of Technology. The laboratory is located within the company's factory premises, covering an area of 1,032 square meters. It is equipped with a total of 17 sets of various instruments, mainly including direct reading spectrometers, electronic universal testing machines, impact testing machines, metallographic microscopes, Rockwell, Brinell, and Vickers hardness testers, etc. It can carry out metallographic, mechanical property and chemical composition testing of metallic materials in accordance with standards such as GB/T 228.1, GB/T 229, and ASTM A370. It aims to build a national-level laboratory with CNAS accreditation. Ø A professional R&D team of over 50 people led by high-level talents has been formed. ——Specific research directions: Research and development of new high-end integrated new energy die-casting mold base materials, intelligent computer simulation technology for thermal processing, application of 3D printing technology in mold base processing, and mold base fitting verification simulation center.
